The average old inhabitant of this country was born at a carbon dioxide concentration in the earth’s atmosphere of about 350 ppm. Mankind’s energy-related carbon dioxide emissions at that time were about 20 gigatons per year.
And today? On April 10, 2021, the CO2 concentration in the atmosphere was 421.36 ppm; mankind’s total annual energy-related emissions of carbon dioxide are about 38 gigatons per year, that is, 10 million tons per day.
This is normal.
